DECLAN O’BRIEN – CeMAP
Mortgage Adviser
I worked in the Asset Finance Industry for over 25 years as a qualified accountant (ACCA) before gaining my CeMAP qualifications and joining MB Associates in December 2019.
I held a number of senior finance and management roles within Five Arrows Leasing Group, a former subsidiary of NM Rothschild. I was the Finance Director of one of the group subsidiary companies during my last 12 years with the company. My key tasks involved financial planning and modelling, budgeting, reporting and advising fellow managers and board members.
My role at MB Associates entails working with both new and existing clients on their mortgage and protection requirements. My aim is to find the most suitable products and providers in the market for every client’s personal circumstances.
When I’m not working, I enjoy taking part in most sports and I’m a keen golfer. I’ve been a member of Epsom Golf Club for over 30 years and was honoured to serve as a captain in 2011. I have spent many years running and supporting the club’s junior section. I’m also a member of the club’s snooker league team which I enjoy when the weather isn’t so good.
Random fact about me: When I was in New Zealand two years ago, I jumped off the edge of a Canyon, 110m high and enjoyed a 60m freefall, attached only to an elasticated rope.
