Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Mortgage Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our mortgage advisers and ensuring the smooth processing of mortgage applications from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate appointments and manage calendars for mortgage advisers
- Assist mortgage advisers by liaising with clients to obtain basic fact-find information and gather necessary documentation
- Input client information accurately into our database and ensure all records are kept up-to-date
- Research client needs, checking mortgage lending criteria, credit scoring and affordability rules
- Submit applications to mortgage lenders and insurance providers accurately and in a timely manner, and liaise with solicitors, estate agents and other relevant parties to facilitate the mortgage application process
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client enquiries and keeping clients informed about the progress of their applications
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar administrative role is not necessary but would be an advantage – preferably within the mortgage industry
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
